The Celtic Manor Resort is a former Victorian mansion,
which for many years in the last century was a maternity hospital, became
the original Celtic Manor Hotel in 1982 and won the Egon Ronay award for
best hotel in Wales in five consecutive years. The Manor is a beautiful
sandstone building with the original Georgian lead windows, wooden panelled
walls and sweeping wooden staircase adorned with a backdrop of leadlight
glass. Ornate ceiling plasterwork is complemented with the traditional
